Generally what’s better, hard wired or rechargable? I don’t have several bikes just one. Thanks

Recharge. That way if you run more than one bike per weekend you can.

If you’re only ever going to run one single bike then that’s another story.

buy a 260X. That way you can ride another bike at some point without wiring. if you quit racing sell it for what you paid.

I have a hard wired and put a connector on it, I think I just repurposed my turn signal connectors and wired it power to key on. Don't have to worry about charging batteries or them not taking a charge. I can swap between bikes a couple seconds slower than someone with a wireless transponder.

I’d have to do a separate switch. My pods
buttons have different functions attached to them but that’s a good idea. I’m always for having “less to go wrong” things.

    Talking more specifically Westhold transponders

I use a wired amb 260, works great. Bought it on eBay a few years ago for around $250 but they are up to $500+ just like the wireless.
