Oh you mean race LICENSE fee...to you know....race??? As opposed to track day places charging a true membership fee to save you a couple shekels on trackdays....and keeping all the money without disclosing finacials...imagine that

While this is out there, I do think double dipping on racers who are already paying a ton of money to race is a bit annoying to say the least

 

It's not double dipping.

You pay an entry fee to get into the "Event" then you pay an entry fee to participate in the "event"

Its that way in bikes, cars, trucks, dune buggys, mud bogs, etc....

 

Yeah I don't like it... but I understand it. Just like I have to pay $45 to get into Vintage Days like any other spectator for the 3-day event. And I had to buy $270 worth of weekend passes so my family could come participate. It sucks... but everyone has to get their money. Now if they try to ding us for my 4 and 5 year old niece and nephew.... out come the uppercuts.

 

Agreed I understand it, but don't like it.
Also I understand the fees but wish it were cheaper for people per day.

Only thing I can add, after reading his entire rant on two occasions is, the gate fees are getting ridiculously more expensive. I don't mind paying to get in, but in no way, shape, form, or fashion, should it be as expensive as it is. Road Atlanta was robbery. I paid it, and will continue to do so. But wow.
