I have a 97 TLS motor that is being put back together. My manual shows an oil jet and O-Ring between the cylinder and head. But the guy who took the motor apart does not remember ever seeing them in the there. Can anyone tell me what they do and if they need to be in there for a track only motor? I have two ordered but they are on forever back order and I need to get this thing fired up to check if it is a good motor or a big paper weight!

I believe they cool the piston from the bottom. Don't run with out them. You'll lose oil pressure. Can't find anyone with an old exploded motor?
