Finally, the XR is ready! I'll probably throw the obligatory vanity pics up later, but I thought I should ask what tire pressure folks are running on this bike?

It has 16" BT45's on it... should I run them with street pressures as if they were tubeless? or do the tubes dictate the pressure in them?

    Help?

I'm about 185. Is there some sort of rule of thumb?

I played with the pressures and found 20psi to work for me @ 240lbs geared up.

rule of thumb? yes no. guidelines maybe. the lower hp bikes dont have any big loads on the drivetrain so the lower pressures help the tires tread get closer to a working temp.
thus gripping better at lean angles. just ride it at 18 or 20 and concentrate on passing the guy next in front of you.don't force the bike and you'll catch on to racing minis.then the fun begins.
best advise? qualify well and get a good start, otherwise you might suck hind tit for a while.
