hi there, i am trying to get some technical detail about motorcycle tires: Michelin Power Supersport Evo and the Michelin Power Cup Evo, i need to know the circumference of the tire.
    for tire sizes:
    120/70/17
    180/55/17
    180/60/17
    190/55/17
    200/55/17

what about other tire manufactures, Dunlop and Pirelli.
    Thank you

Have you tried unearthing the information on the tire manufacturers' web sites?

Which should tell you the diameter - multiply that by pi.

  8. Keep in mind that these days, the "180" and "190" etc designations are more about marketing than anything else.

For example, I believe the Pirelli "180"/60 actually measures something like 193mm. I'm sure somebody will correct me if that is wrong, but it isn't a 180.

Not all 180's and 190's are created equally, and that is definitely not the exact measurement...it is more of a model designation.

    So for the correct/current info
    For Dunlop ask Bru
    For BStone ask stick
For Pirelli ask James or Leon
    For Michelin ask Hirsch

And I do have to ask - why do you need the info?

Make sure you compare apples to apples cuz I don't think anybody or bike that goes fast uses a 180/55.

The fast tires for 600s are 180/60 or bigger

Well, if one tire is 3mm bigger `round, then you have to adjust your gearing. 3And you need to know how much the tire 'grows' at certain speeds and temperatures. And the effect of different tire pressures on cold diameter and hot running diameter. So, if your choice is the one that lets you run your current gearing and chain, will changing to a different one require a different rear sprocket? More chain or less?
    Inquiring minds want to know.

You want to change your gearing for a 1mm change in tire height?:crackup::crackup:

Hi MELK-MAN, these numbers was sent to my by Michelin for the Power Supersport Evo.
i know you use Michelin's a lot but did you get your numbers from the net or a tire supplier?

i want to know the height of the tire since it is an indicator for me how fast and easy the bike turns.
