Nice!! Stickboy has the 18" rubber for the rear if you don't do a 17" swap.Get those bridgestones from him! FZRs dont need much else for vintage racing. Hell......I prefer to leave mine mostly stock and keep it simple stupid. My 1st 2 years I raced it with bone stock suspension and started dipping into 25's at summit,so they are EXCELLENT bikes for guys like us. Make sure you get some FZR transmission testing done before going all the way down to Summit...........we've seen how that goes:D

So...larger capacity air cooled two valve four cylinders legal for V5 can't bump up to V6HW because of the 750 capacity restriction...(i.e. KZ810/900/1000)???

I've only seen two bump up in the last 15 years but I doubt anyone would have an issue with it, so my answer would be, bring it. LOL

That's my thinking, it's not remotely an issue but if it were to ever happen we can deal with it then.

Thank you for the changes, I truly hope it helps improve vintage turnout. I can not make the Tally round, but I have a bike for the class and I will be out there supporting it in 2020.

Well, I bumped my V5 Kz650 to V6MW in 2018 and 2019 (before a mechanical ended the weekend).

I have an 810cc kit ready to install as an improvement for this year...but you nuked V6MW which leads to a bump to V6HW but now with the rule change the 810cc kit isn't legal because you included air cooled inline multi cylinder in the 750cc limit.

That is why I asked about KZ810/900/1000 no longer able to bump from V5 to V6HW...as far as when is the last time someone did...don't know?

So now I only have one class to run (V5) because air cooled 2 valve in line 4 cylinders have the same capacity limit as the water cooled multis.

It will still be slow, heavy, and underpowered.:D

    Regards,
    Chad

Sounds like if you’re the lone wolf (or even a small pack), you’ll be accommodated.

Of course I have no power (nor does Eboz:D) , but Sean has some influence I think.

Just show up and race. it's kind of always been an unwritten rule that if you're bumping up a class, then specifications of the bump up class are not written in stone. Since V5 is not MW or HW then whatever bumps up is legal. If it's 940, 1040 or 1140 bring it. If you beat someone only there pride will be hurt and I'm sure they will get over it. If you remember back to 1983, most of the superbike 1000's of the era were put out to pasture by the 83 750 interceptor.

    Out to pasture...that's where I belong.:D

I didn't think anyone would have issue with the kz650/810...especially because I'm slow and no one will show up anyway...but you never know!

I just wanted to see if having the air cooled bikes with the same displacement as the liquid cooled ones was an over sight or not.

    Regards,
    Chad
