I see this concept popping up everywhere, no doubt a new crop of protective laws will be forthcoming. THS is as ubiquitous and stealthy as the patriarchy and unconscious bias.
You don't need a smoker present. If you are anywhere where smoking has taken place or anywhere close to such a place or if you are in the presence of someone who has been in the presence of a smoker (even if that person wasn't smoking) you're being exposed.
I'm an EX smoker suffering from COPD. I did it, I own it. They paid farmers to produce it, and taxed the shit out of it. Then say we warned you, now were here to protect you with new laws while still taxing the shit out of a legal product. To protect people from 3rd or 4th, 6th hand smoke ban the it. Typical BS double talk. Not sure what's worse, those who believe there protecting us or those who believe it. (while I'm watching the new Fahrenheit 451.)
This. I am a non smoker but this shit pisses me off. Either make cigs illegal or leave smokers the fuck alone.
The anti smoking "helpers" tried forcing these lies on the world a few years back and their studies were proven to be bullshit. Now enough time has passed that they can try again. Third hand stupidity kills!
Tobacco is legal. Alcohol is legal. Both are highly taxed. Both kill (alcohol probably more than tobacco). Where will they get the replacement revenue?
The evil rich. And the evil corporations. Their fair share is at least 70%, just like the great Democrat Jimmy Carter put in place as an awesome show of leadership and economic brilliance.
At least roll your damn windows up at stop lights. I quit 'em 10-some-odd years ago... I don't want to smell your stinky ass habit. Not really a militant ex-smoker... I could give a shit what you do to yourself. Just leave me out of it.
I'm not the one spewing noxious fumes into the air everyone else uses to breathe. Yeah, yeah, yeah, my exhaust pipe, but that brings up another thing: those stinky damn diesels...
