When I went off to college, I told my new roommate, you can mess with everything of mine except my bicycle and my records. Anything else, have at it.

Thermostat..

The house is set at 68 and controlled 65 at night. The wife bought me an Ecobee so i can control it by voice or by phone.

My folks stayed over not too long ago and jacked it up to 73 and I was sweating in shorts and a t shirt.

Leave my thermostat alone..

 

Never mess with the t'stat when you are visiting unless you ask.

I’ll turn it up to 65 if we have guests, but it’s not going higher.

If someone doesn’t like it, they can put on a jacket or leave. Illbedamned if I’m going to sit around sweating in my own house.
