You claimed support for Trump that we weren't noticing, and you mentioned what is currently a small player.
The fact that Sinclair may be big down the road sometime doesn't mean squat right now.

And I mentioned the part about living there because you're the one always claiming nobody here could know more about anything going on in Europe, because you live there.
    You backing down on that?

I'm claiming that you don't know shit about Europe. Don't try to make it sound like it's not you, specifically, that I'm talking about.

    More on Sinclair.

Second largest broadcast media company in the US. They currently own or operate 173 full-power TV stations in the us. (There are about 1700 full-power TV stations licensed in the US, so they run 1 in every 10 TV stations.)

Mark my words. The French language will surrender without a fight. The English language will have to take up the slack.

    No shit.
I covered that fact. They own a bunch of stations, mostly mom and pop deals, and that makes no difference.
They don't have the viewers or the conservative programming, and I know you understand that part of it.

Europe is a haven for Muslim terrorists, you like socialism, hating America, wearing skinny jeans while eating all types of cheese, and sniffing your own farts while you avoid GMO foods in your little Smartcars. Dafuq else do we need to know Frenchie?

    :D

For real though, I’ve heard French babes don’t shave their legs or armpits. Is this a myth? Do the same ones that don’t shave the legs also not shave or trim the cooter, or is there not a 100% correlation? Kind of like “all squares are rectangles but not all rectangles are squares”?

Should I come to France and do a study for science?

They are the second largest media company in the US. They aggregate a substantial number of viewers, and by their sheer size command large advantages in negotiations for carriage and advertising.
Although they grew by buying up smaller groups, by no fantasy are they a mom and pop operation since at least 10 years ago. They are one of the largest corporate broadcasters in the world.

Even today, over 80% of live TV viewing is the four major networks - ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox. Their stations are, with few exceptions (largely when they own and/or operate more than two stations in a single market), affiliates of those networks.

And they do produce and run specifically conservative programming, or maybe you didn't read that far into the Wiki article.

Let me ask you - What constitutes conservative programming?
What constitutes a large number of viewers?
What are your criteria for being "significant" or "making a difference"?

It can't hurt. Well, unless you want it to hurt.

At some point, you gotta quit wasting your time.

So I have a question. When you say media are including movie production companies, newspapers, networks, etc or just the actual station with an antenna broadcasting TV? I ask because I don't know but it would seem that those producing content have a bigger impact. Although they could impact the news show.

FWIW we have a Sinclair station here. It is one of 4 non-taxpayer funded stations. IMO it is not anymore or less conservative/liberal than the others. Though its programs generally suck and I watch 48/54 much more often than 19..... so I could even get MORE conservative if I watched it...... or I could watch PBS and have to shop for dresses...... hmmmm or turn it all off and watch Moto2/Moto3 while brushing the Shelties tonight.....

It is now time for one of you two believers to prove your assertion by naming the programming and showing the viewer numbers.
    I'm done. Prove your assertion.

Sorry, I don't pay Neilson for a subscription to their viewer data.

I'm legally prohibited from using the data I can access through work for non-company uses. And I don't have time to do all the aggregation and analysis anyway, certainly not for something as meaningless as proving someone on the internet wrong.

You'll need to write that check yourself.

A couple of companies could take advantage of the rule changes Sinclair has already won action on, and the one that is still pending, which removes ownership limits completely.

There are about three large players who could decide to move on that - Media General and Sinclair being the two largest currently.

The only losers are us as the number of independent sources for information and news diminishes.

Makes me think of two things; Spoiled brat who is use to getting her way, and if you really want to see what kind of person some one is, look at how they treat people in the service industries.
