They should have doubled down and get offended that people thought it was a joke and not a celebration of Caitlyn's transformation.

Exactly. It is offensive to her identity as a woman and insinuates that she isn't even worthy to represent a place for females within a Dallas restaurant. How long must we wait for a "trans-woman" to just be accepted as a "woman"?

I have no idea - I just like the concept of firing back that it wasn't a joke and they were celebrating Caitlin as a woman. I'm all for trans people and live and let live, but I still enjoy jokes. If Caitlin is Caitlin and not Bruce, and She should be called She and not He, then even pointing out that it is a trans woman is offensive to the identity is how I expect that argument to follow. So to Steak's point, super easy to play dumb as the restaurant and just say "I dunno...I just put a lady on the ladies room. Not sure why everyone is so offended."

My previous responses have all been in fun, but in the name of science, you should look into chromosomes and gender. There's a lot more there than you think there is.

 

We must accommodate all outliers.

 

Perhaps if you accept the recently revised definition of a few words...
And yes, I am sure that there will always be exceptions to the rule. But it seems foolish to set up everything to benefit a statistically insignificant part of society.
