I am. because life in those societies is brutal in all manner of aspects. To deny that is to pretend that our core drivers aren’t what they are. These societies have not advanced because they don’t have the recourses to. the book “the third chimpanzee” talks about this…. without fail once hunter gatherer societies are exposed to modern things they readily adapt it because it gives them an advantage. Only tribes that are designated for protection don’t get the same things we do because they would almost universally adopt them. And they do have to worry about being conquered/killed by rival tribes. Every day.
sorry boss. I’m done. Though I’m of the opinion that talking about broad history might be placed in a different territory than modern politics.
Edit: what if I leave it at I'm definitely not one of those self-righteous virtue signaling a-holes. At least I don't think I am.
You don't want to get banned yet you post even more shit after very clearly reading my warning? Seriously?
Not tryna be political when I say that sometimes I kinda wish I was in a successful hunter-gatherer tribe about 10K years ago. I have simplified my life as much as I can and still stay (what I think is) ahead of the curve of where a mid-50s American couple needs to be socially/economically but sometimes it's still pretty damn heavy. There are times when not thinking past tonight's dinner is pretty fkn tempting.
