What 'cha making?

 

Bacon and eggs with grits and toasted English muffins and coffee this morning for openers.

 

Spicy jalepeno chicken fingers.

 

Smoked a brisket last night, and finished it in the oven overnight. It's wrapped in a cooler right now. I did pull some off this morning before anybody caught me.... Also going to grill some wings, and some other apps to be named later. Maybe some loaded potatoes. I plan on being in a meat coma by halftime.

 

Wife's making chili I think.

 

Made bacon, egg, and cheese Sandwiches on the flattop this morning.

Smoking wings and making 7 layer dip here in a few hours.

 

Chili here too, or maybe a pizza from a new joint that opened down the street. Would like a spinach and artichoke dip too but since it's just the two of us that may be a bit much (then again, isn't that what it's all about).

Oh, and enjoying the Caps v Flyers game getting ready to start.

 

We're waiting on that watching UNC murder Denver.

 

Hockey here also...
Mamma soaked red kidney beans which are now in the crockpot for the fixins for chili.
Queso dip (yes with Rotel and Velveeta) with fresh fried chips. Baked apple treats wrapped in mini tortillas.
Relish trays with all kinds of yum...and enough beer and booze to seal the deal.

Pure coincidence that there's a sportsball game on today... happened upon some pork butt at <$1/lb at Kroger yesterday, about 18 lbs of it went on the smoker at 11pm last night. Rubbed with a mix of coffee rub and Bad Byron's rub, pellet grill loaded with some cherry and Jim Beam pellets. The butt closer to the heat was done a couple hours ago, the 2nd is almost there. Should be enough for the 2 of us.

 

He was a Texan...them thar boys don't put no stinkin' beans in chili.
So on his behalf let me correct and say "bean-chili" not Lone Star kind...
