Do you also agree with the statement:

"From each according to his means, and to each according to his needs."

Admit it, Roger, you do. You'd have to, because there's no other way you can think that the state stealing half of someone's hard-earned money is a good thing.

Congratulations, you're a Marxist. That line above is right out of Karl's little red book and is his philosophy in it's most simple form.

    Marxism, like socialism, is evil.

And Marx got the concept from the Christians (As well as a number of other religions).

    Are they evil as well?

If they espouse progressive taxation, then you bet your ass they're evil. There is NO way to square "from each... to each..." and the notion of "All men are created equal." "Fair" is treating everyone equally, regardless of status or circumstance, not punishing those who've worked to become successful (and even worse, to then benefit those who've not done so). We all derive the same benefits from the state protecting us from the invading Canadians, we should all pay the same rate for that service.

Doesn't the bible say something about a 10% tithe to the church? That's a pretty far cry from 50% to Uncle Sam and his bastard stepchildren at the state level. As the country song says, if 10% is good enough for Jesus, it ought to be enough for Uncle Sam. If that makes our Uncle short of funds, he should do like the rest of us and just spend less.

    Bottom line:

The enemy is big government, not big business. It's been covered many times here; the fact that there is no accountability in government (save for the most part, in the military) therefore:

Let me keep my money, I know how to spend it a great deal more efficiently than government ever could and government in turn makes money on the sales tax and things like capital gains tax.

    Food for thought:

In the six years after the initial tax cuts came into effect in late 1981, actual tax revenue increased by $375 billion.
Congress increased domestic spending by $450 billion, approximately $100 billion of that increase went to military spending.

    source:Ibid

For the conservatives to get their eventual $100billion increase in military spending through Congress, they had to compromise with liberals and their social services funding.

Reducing federal taxes increases overall revenue, it's just that Congress has a hard time saving money.

I've been busy and I still am so I'll cut you weenies some slack.

Didn't they teach you in 3rd or fourth grade that there are two sides to many arguments and that logic and rationality is not monopolized by the right or the left, Democrats of Republlicans, conservatives or liberals?

Guerilla? Phlarp? Buehler? Anyone? (This could also be addresssed to several on the left as well.)

Oh yeah, I apologize in advance for not agreeing with you guys in the future b/c i know that each of you has a vise grip on rationality and logic and are each very non-partisan and objective. I wish i could always be right like you guys, then I'd be rich!!:p
