Talladega EX250 Endurance updates

Trying to keep stuff all in one place and you guys get info before anyone else.
This is a "living, breathing" entity so please be patient and understanding.

Here's what I know and anything not here I dunno yet!
"Official" release will be (hopefully!) 1 July 2010.
Race will be Sunday 5 September 2010 for 4 hours (1-5pm local).
Only 2 classes: pre-08 and 08+.
WERA E-superstock rules ONLY!
We'll be running WERA's AMB laptimers
Must be a licensed racer somewhere.
We will have a Ed Bargy race school / track day Saturday 4 September 2010 (registration available soon).
Entry and gate fees will reflect WERA pricing.
Portion of fees will be going to help build the children's playground at Talladega Gran Prix!

We need contingency, sponsorship, advertising help! This WILL be a publicity generating event! Especially because of the cause, the hype of the event and expected spectators!

See if any of the rentals are still available

 

I assume Team Hash Brown is a go if Jason secured the rental. So we'll all get a spin on it Saturday as I believe that is covered in the rental.

I've got an old gen for sale all setup WERA legal if someone really wants to race

 

Still waiting to see if stick is going to ride. I was going to talk to him this weekend and rent it on Monday if it was a go.

I"m sure they have some idea, but it will vary depending on sponsors and stuff.

Thats one of the major things I'm waiting to hear about before I make a decision.

 

Just like I said above: entry's will be in range with WERA.
A WERA 4 hour is $300 a team.

 

Is the saturday track day gonna be 250's only?

 

No sir, sat will be open to anyone.

There will be at least one 250 only session Sat and Sunday morning practice will of course be 250 only.

 

My 2001 250R will be back East (sans me) by then. I'll ask the new owner if he'd be interested in renting it out for the weekend... It should have a spiffy pro paint job by then.

This makes me so happy, my wrist should be near 100% by then, and my 250 is ready to go.

 

Have a 250 rented, so now we just wait & hope this is all a go.
