Miles: He's the same age as my nephew (It's been pretty cool to watch them grow up together) Senior dog now (but apparently nobody has told him that's supposed to slow him down) He just makes life better.
This is Abby & Millie. They are no longer with us. They were chained in a yard in a south Dallas ghetto in 2005: no water, no food. They were skeletal and covered in sores, mange, and filth. I happened to have a pair of bolt cutters with me and I stole them from that yard and have no shame saying so. I took them to my vet, who examined them, and turned out they both were heartworm positive, and extremely underweight. She made it clear that ethically, euthanasia would be acceptable in this situation. I would have none of that, and we cleaned them up & brought them home, slowly put some weight on them to get them healthy enough to withstand the heartworm treatment & got that done. This pic was from probably 2015, so they had well over 10 years of a pretty damn good life after the rough start. This asshat was chained to a tree not far from one of my regular customers' house. Every time I went by, I would refresh her water and play with her a bit. About the 5th or 6th time of this, the owner came out and asked me if I wanted to just take her, he didn't want her and she was chewing up the tree trying to get away. I said, "Sure, asshole." I wouldn't take a million for her... I wouldn't give you a nickel for another one. The end.
"He's the same age as my nephew (It's been pretty cool to watch them grow up together)" - Yes it is, congrats and enjoy "He just makes life better" Yes they do indeed
This is Killer. He makes all other cats suck and he likes dogs. Rescue kitten raised with a pair of yellow labs. This cat has a lot of dog traits. Catdog.
This is Murphy. We’ve had him about 18 months now. My daughters fostered him for a week and we couldn’t give him back.
