This is a Superhawk . . . . CB77 . . . . . . . 305 cc . . . . . .28 hp. Back in the day, it would give 650 Triumphs a run . . . . This is the VINTAGE section. When you say "Honda Superhawk" this is what comes to mind. Yes, the 1990 VTR1000 also bore that nomenclature. But, the foregoing was the original Superhawk. Cheers, Dave
28 hp "at the brochure" but yes they were way ahead of their time. Sounded great when all of it's competition were 2 strokes. Might give a Triumph 500 a run but it would be a poor 650 that fell prey to one. This is the one I traded off yesterday. High bars were a popular mod back in the day though I included low bars and cable kit in the transaction. So that it would proper like this. So now my friend RL has two. I have had 3 other 305s over the years though they were all Scramblers. Have always loved the sound especially the scrambler with the open straight "crossover pipes"
I have had several Triumph 650/750s and spent a semester at college with a T100C 500. My latest is one of the last of the Meridan bikes. No my Superhawk would not give it a "run"
This making me want a bike older than me. I always save myself from that fantasy before it costs me money, but old hondas are cool.
I need a bigger garage and a budget to match. Honestly, I'm not sure what the coolest bike from 1983 would be...
Ducati TT2 Introduced in 1981. 1st Duc to use a trellis frame. 600cc twin. The TT1 came along in 1984, otherwise I'd have said TT1. Cheers, Dave
Beautiful bike. I had a 900f and the 1100 was Honda's fairwell tribute to the 750/900 sport in line fours of that period But 1983 marked the arrival of the 750 V4 Interceptor. Iconic and a serious game changer at that time JMHO
Ok. Everyone. He was asking for me. He just wants me to dig out my relic. I also have a Vtr1000 superhawk. Along with way to much other things. I appreciate it. Ill come play with you guys.
I had RC 45 bodywork on my Hawk. It was a great bike. It was hard to let it go. I may still have an RS250 tail section from it. I'll need to find it so I can sell it off.
