Are you really that naive? After years of watching the government fuck up every thing they touch all of a sudden you think they will get this right? Jesus...
Where do you think the money that the government spends comes from? All of the other stuff will still go on, The US will be even deeper in debt and tax rates will likely go up. You would have to be stupid to think that all of the wonderful socialist bullshit like "free" health care and "free" college would not cause tax rates to go up.

Depends on who you vote for. Like I said before, this is predicated by some serious swamp drainage, and it’s expected that there would also be considerable changes to the current loan system to stop the mess from getting worse.

You can't drain incompetence or lack of caring from the swamp.

I love how people propose to raise the corporate tax rates and make them pay their "fair share" and then pretend they just wont pass those costs onto the consumer. We all end up paying for it, just how direct is the questio .

But, without corporate welfare or all the other government protections they’ve had the government officials they’ve bought put in place for them, the free market would keep that from happening. If amazon loses their tax credits and raises their prices, I’ll just buy locally, amazon’s sales would drop, so Jeff B would just have to lower prices and settle for the second largest yacht on the planet.

Define corporate welfare so we know exactly
    what we're discussing here.

Corporate welfare in the Amazon case is defined as a municipality offering AMZN a few million in tax incentives to relocate their HQ within said municipality with the knowledge that the economic activity within said municipality that will increase emf game tax revenues DRAMATICALLY due to the new AZMN facility which will FAR outweight the few millions they offer AMZN.

It's that same old liberal inability to think beyond even one level of consequence.

What facts in that are incorrect?

You’re welcome. I’m trying to be more like a he rest of you guys. Instead of actually making an argument I’m just going to shout “WRONG”, “NO”, and “YOU’RE STUPID” at my detractors until they give up.

One of my coworker's wives owes $250,000 in "student loans" because she lived on them while she spent forever to get a teaching degree.

Yeah....I know...he was foolish enough to marry her, and now those loans are his to help pay..but that's his problem.

But, why should We the People get saddled with her poor financial decisions and absorbing the costs?

There are WAY too many stories of people like her out there that lived on their loans as Professional Students on a live now pay later plan.

So, it's now later....let them pay.

LOVE LOVE LOVE my son...but when he's 18, if he embarks on higher education, the tuition bill is not something I'll help him with paying. I'll put food in his stomach, and clothes on his back.

I thought you were the one that started that...

So I guess that means that you don't have anything logical to contradict my post.

Yay I won an argument on the internet today!

    I'm going to Disneyworld!

I’m driving and can’t do any research. I’ll admit that Amazon may not have been the best example but the concept is sound.

As for the tactic, no, I did not start it. It was used on me extensively in the FTP thread over the Little Rock shooting and fairly consistently since.

It was used on you after your "facts" were refuted soundly yet you still refused to listen

Well, when you get where you're going, have a beer and give me your definition of corporate welfare.

This. One of my coworkers married a lady who has well over $200k in student loans because she wanted to live on the beach in St Augustine while pursuing her degree. Of course since the beach was close you don't want too heavy of a course load so she ended up taking a few more years than she should have to obtain said degree. I think it was a Masters in Occupational Therapy or something. She could have done the same thing for way less money had she chosen an in state school, got a part time job, didn't piss away a bunch of money partying and living like a baller and had a course load that would get you done in a reasonable amount of time. And on top of that, she worked for a couple years, had their first child, went part time and then quit completely when she had their second child. So ya, not a ton of sympathy here for her "crippling debt load".

College is turning in to nothing more than young adult daycare and I really do not feel inclined to help subsidize kids so that they can fuck off for 4 - 6 years. There are 2 kids that I was responsible for getting prepared for college. They both took full course loads and worked as much as they could. As a parent I knew these expenses were coming so I had a good college fund set up for them as well so that they will both leave college with little to no debt. But now people want to make that investment and our sacrifices essentially worthless by giving the people who did all the wrong things a great big freebie and that pisses me off.

Maybe we could forgive their debt if they'll work for free in healthcare.
