Student loan forgiveness

On this topic there are two outcomes. People who got handed money pay that money back or the rest of us pay that money for them. Those are the options. They are easy to consider.

The only thing to learn is just how fucking stupid people in general are and how many people should not have children. But that is nothing remotely new and should be learned by anyone on this board by now.

 

Huh? So no love for the greedy kids who wanted free money so they could go to school and not work and have all of their bills paid for? Those greedy fucks who then if they didn't totally screw the pooch got a degree in exchange for a portion of that money but no matter what they did take that money and they spent that money. That money paid for things for those students. So their greed means nothing to you? Seems kind of rude to leave them out.

Um, yeah, I'm going to guess these people also have student loans? If so now my questions is that with all that education how is it they couldn't figure out how not to knock someone up or get knocked up. And what about the tons more people in the same situation but without student loans and without degrees that are struggling to make ends meet?

If they signed loan papers and got a degree that is useless in the real world then they sure as hell are idiots. And yes, it 100% is their fault. There is no way for anyone to be deceived by the big business of universities. The information has been too public for too long.

 

What false promises? They got the money. They were promised money and got the money. The lender never made any promises other than I'll give you money.

Your issue is with the schools giving value for the dollars paid - that has NOTHING to do with student loans or the lenders who handed over cash you think they should not get back - at the expense of the rest of us.

What argument? You don't have an argument. We all agree schools charge too much and are bloated piles of mostly shit with some gold nuggets of actual education. That's not all that debatable really. Of course some schools are better than others and absolutely some degrees are better than others. What HR departments want can absolutely be stupid, not really debatable their either. However that doesn't mean you should go after just any degree, that part goes right back to the students decisions.

I'm 52 and had no shop class. Didn't change anything. I took the money from a student loan. I paid it back. Didn't even get a degree out of it. It was money given to me and I paid that money back.

You keep saying everyone was convinced college was the only option. That is not true. A large number of people in the world are capable of thinking for themselves.

That is pure and utter bullshit being spouted by the socialists. There is no one in this country truly starving other than by choice. The number of public and private groups feeding those in need is staggering and even they have to throw away food. No one is truly starving and Fonda lied when she told you there are parts of the US that are third world.

People refusing to pay back loans doesn't mean anything more than they are assholes who stole money. Plenty of people choosing not to pay students loans who have plenty of money for other things. These people aren't living on skid row looking for work.

Where does that government money come from? Oh yeah, taxes.

How about they stop giving the schools money and not use it to bail out people who already got handed money?
