Springfield mile on Speed

    i thought i read someplace they changed the steering head angle, and modded the swing arm.

    Correct, but modified for flat track, as I said.

    They used inserts in the steering head to change the angle. The frame was left stock. I only make the distinction since many times people cut and re-weld the frames to change the geometry and that's not the case here. The swing arm was braced so we could run only one shock, even though I don't think that was a good idea, finding suitable shocks in the correct time frame was difficult.

    Mad props to you guys - it was really cool to see him make the main
    A bunch of us make it a point to go to the Hagerstown 1/2 mile every August
    Unfortunately the race conflicts with one of our own races so I'll miss it this year, which sucks
