In general, I'm trying to figure out how to read the different manufacturer stamps. Specifically trying to figure out if the extra Ohlins rear shock I have will work for me and work on the bike. For example, the Ohlins is a 01093-29/90 L524 From info on another forum, my understanding is: 01093 is diameter and length, but I'm not sure how that reads. Any help explaining that would be appreciated and also if anyone foresees an issue with fitment. It was in the spares bin so I'm making an assumption that at some point it was on the bike or was at least purchased for the 125. -29 is an Ohlins code, and I found the chart. -29 is a 90N/mm Googled the conversion from N/mm to Kg/mm and found 1Kg=9.80665N So my shock would be labeled 9.17 Kg/mm if I were to purchase, say from TSO. He only has up to 8.5, so my next question is has anyone used the 8.5 or even this 9.17? I'm 175 without gear and my riding style I would say is... poor Seriously, these bikes clearly are not meant for 175lb riders so the 9.17 is a good place to start if it fits. Then on to the front springs, which I have no spares. My plan is to order the 0.70's from TSO. They're the heaviest made for the 125 and new 250, or so I'm told. Racetech sight had nothing for the 125, but thats not to say other models won't fit. Thoughts on that combo?
I don't remember the #s offhand, but I was able to find a spring for the Ohlins on my 125 that worked for my 160 lb fully kitted weight. I'll see if I can find more info when I'm home tonight. The spares bin that came with one of my bikes had some springs from Hyperco - you could see if they have one that's appropriate. https://www.hypercoils.com/
What year is the RS125? Contact Accu-Products for the springs. I weight 185lbs without gear & ordered springs from them in January, and I think they have springs 1-2 sizes heavier than whats listed on the website.
