Huh? A $300 rebate check assumes a single taxpayer making $50,000 or less. BMW Finance isn't likely to approve someone's loan application with such mere income. High income couples (subject of the article) by definition pull in $250,000/yr of combined income or more. Under the Bush tax plan their rebate check would be closer to $9,000. And it's always better for the government to absorb a short term deficit rather than burdening an already stressed economy with trillions of dollars in extra taxes. -peekay
