Huh? A $300 rebate check assumes a single taxpayer making $50,000 or less. BMW Finance isn't likely to approve someone's loan application with such mere income. High income couples (subject of the article) by definition pull in $250,000/yr of combined income or more. Under the Bush tax plan their rebate check would be closer to $9,000.

And it's always better for the government to absorb a short term deficit rather than burdening an already stressed economy with trillions of dollars in extra taxes.

The states are broke, FED is in the red and we keep throwing money into a war which we didn't need to be in the first place.
