Yes I believe so Would be nice if the ones that put in the work and money got something other than a piece of plastic ...... At least for the expert grids anyways
We did discounts on entries. Cost us too much money, same people kept winning and came back racing even when we quit doing it - sucks but our best customers are still customers. It didn't encourage them to enter other classes or the like. Then there were also about half the champs who got them by just showing up.
Ah ok, that's what I was thinking about. I remember Eddie saying something about it but it was before I got started.
I am Mongo's devil's advocate, but the discount card allowed me to afford to race one year longer than I had previously planned...or probably should have. At least that's how I pitched it to the wife at the time.
Earlier than that. Bridgehampton was closed after the 1997 season. I would need to check on whether we still have the free entries and pole position for the class champions. Might not because we grid by points. (No more fax races at the banquet!)
I'm quite positive they closed in 1998 since 98 was my first year as an expert and my profile pic is from t1 at the bridge.
I got half off entry in that class (bsb) for the next season. Free entry for my GNF win. Guess they don't do that anymore. The end
I assume that an eKart race suit would be latex or something similarly non-conductive. Would they have to mold the letters into the suit?
and a wish-sandwich Seriously though, FL region used to give a gate pass, for the entire season, for each class championship you won. That sadly went away, but if the grids grow again, i suspect will come back. It's pretty cool..
not really, that only happens if you win a race (races) at the ROC and/or GNF damn dude, you woulda won WAY more championships with your name on your leathers ..
