Yeah, he's a bike nut. I'm sure if he had some seat time he'd be fast, Michael Schumacher raced some IDM races back in the day, and didn't do horrible considering he'd probably never raced a bike before. What I read Lewis said he wanted to ride one, not race one.
Enter a race? Well, he'd have to get his license first, then a team would have to boot one of their riders and hire him. I don't know of any teams with equipment worthy of a wildcard. Maybe he should beg for a few laps at the Valencia test first and let humility sink in painfully.
Whose he think he is.....Schumy or something? Before you ask, Schumy lapped Valencia 5 seconds off Pedrobots 1:32.748 lap record of the time. Yeah, I'd say not bad.
He said he wanted to race a GP, and the Daytona 500. He said Alonso inspired him. Speaking of Alonso he actually has experience on a GP bike I believe, he does the Honda show at motegi, with the GP riders every year.
I saw the Daytona mention, but nothing about actually racing the motogp, not like it matters I'm sure he'd do better than some people who do it professionally. Think about it, he is a multiple time formula one world champ. Dude knows how to go fast. Period.
