Well lets see. DORNA is a Spanish company. Run by a Spaniard. Spain has an actual school/farm system for motorcycle road racers. They have a very large scooter/motorcycle culture, that shows up at racing events.

What I can't understand is how their tickets are $100/ea more expensive than US GP tickets.

They'd have more races if Dorna would give them more. The Spanish tracks pay full asking price. The US used to get them for a major discount.

All four of those racetracks are good (2 are great); not only that, 21% isn't quite 90. Keep trying.

To boost demand in the US/NA. The European prices will be happily paid because Europeans have a much greater interest in the sport.

General Admission tickets for Brno were about the same price as GA tickets for Austin. Are the grandstand seats that much more expensive in Spain?

I actually can't speak for Spain, but I assume it's at least comparable to Italy. I bought my Mugello tickets already and they were $280 WITH and early discount

What's this 90% you speak of? 19 rounds next year... I haven't checked but I'm 90%* sure that at least 3 rounds aren't in Spain?

They could buy 19 rounds, host the entire series there and afford it if no one came to a single race.
