I have an oddball room in my house that I'd like to use as a lounge/rarely used guest bedroom, and I'm looking for a sleeper sofa that's reasonably comfortable as a couch and equally comfortable as a full or queen size bed. The budget is around $1300. I have horrible flashbacks from the 80's about sleeping on pullout couches that had the stupid tri-fold bars that were arched in the middle to destroy your back, along with the fashion elements of a swanky Frank Costanza living room. No murphy beds or futons. Any recommendations?
Skip the pullout. Frontgate makes a right decent framed inflatable bed. Held my 220 pound ass just fine for a week, didn't need any air added the whole time. There are clones available on Amazon, not sure what their quality is, but 'you get what you pay for' is usually a decent guide.
My garage is full of old FZR parts and dead hookers in 55 gallon drums, so I have no room to store an air mattress. Hence the need for a couch/bed.
I left the womb some time ago, have no desire to sleep in the fetal position, and I can't imagine a grown/old/broken human trying to sleep in one of those nests. Don't tell my wife about those over-priced bean bags, or we'll have one in each room, illuminated by lava lamps.
The model I got deflates and automagically folds up its own frame and mattress into the zip-up canvas it came with, 33x22x14.
Perfect! Then my dog would claim it as his own. Then my boy and dog would fight over it. Then I would need two more so I could sit in one. SMH.
