It's getting real. The Maduro government is now blocking aid shipments from other countries and shooting people trying to bring food in across the border. There is a true opposition forming. It's only a matter of time before a total coup. https://www.washingtonpost.com/worl...3dcf6b68558_story.html?utm_term=.c44a9030fb6e
There is also the American oil execs that they still have in custody. I don't think it looks too great for them. Then again, maybe a coup will save them.
Explain to me again why invading the shit out of Iraq was OK ""To get rid of a madman oppressing his people"", but we can't go in & take this tincup hat mofo? Hell, they even have a shitload of oil.
McCabe and Company could show these dipshits that coups are best served inside out vs. outside in. Et tu Brute?
Risk vs reward. Iraq has a geographical stratgic location to Mid East oil and it provided another front for the Russians to deal with. You want to Police every 4th world mess?
Nope. Some logical consistency would be nice, though. I'm sure it all IS logical when one has all the facts. We don't.
Iraq was not about the oil, per se...it was about protecting the Petro Dollar....Saddam announced that he was going to accept other forms of payment other than the US dollar....bam...USA is going in!! This was also prior to the invention of fracking....US, other than protecting the Petro Dollar, has zero reasons to invade a country for its actual oil...
Oh we're definitely gonna hit the ground. I bet clandestine ops are already there preparing for it. Russia supports one guy, we support the other? Yeah that ain't gonna fly.
True. It has some, but not as much as the middle east has available right now. And there is something to be said about where its location in relation to our other strategic interests.
