BiZ a matter of weight ratios

Terrance took a tumble into the turn 8 airfence at summit. Rumor has it he walked to the ambulance. They ended up flying him out though. That's all the info I have at the moment. I'll post more when I can.

    Heal up amigo!

    Matt H ah, mi scusi

He's responsive, but they are keeping him overnight for observation. I'll try to keep the big stuff up to date as I hear from Shauna.

EDIT: and yes, he did walk into the ambulance on his own.

yea we went to watch today... hope he's fine. it struck me as odd that it seemed like it took an hour between the crash and the chopper leaving. didn't seem like much of a hurry on things, but then chopper is never good. heal up.

There is a change in the life-flight choppers protocols these days, many of them fly a trauma team of docs/nurses on the flight to stabilize and begin treatment on the ground vs the old 'snatch and grab' to get the patient to a hospital ASAP method. So they are are usually on the ground longer, and the chopper is more of an air ER vs just a rapid transport vehicle.

    Heal up quick!

  14. SVbadguy

SVbadguy I survived the Mt Course

He initially refused treatment. Then some things changed after going back to the pits and EMS felt it would be better to fly him to Fairfax hospital.

The new medevac service based at Martinsburg airport responds very quickly when they do get called. They are at the track within 10 minutes of receiving a phone call it seems. They certainly get there before a fire truck does, if the truck even shows up at all.
