Reading over some observations from the Moto GP test in Sepang there were a few mentions of a salad box seen on a few bikes..
School me, what is it? Is it a central controller for riders aid electronics, a can controller? There was one mention of suspension lock up for starts.

I’ve read it’s where they relocated the electronics that was originally in the nose but due to the hammer head fairing it was moved.

The lockup item is to (allegedly) secure the rear shock so that the bike doesn't over-rotate and wheelie on the start, which should provide more forward motion. Petrucci tested the FUBAR device as well, even though he set his fastest lap on the non-FUBAR bike. But the consensus is that the Ducati will be pretty wicked on the starts, based on observations of practice starts.

But we won't know for sure until Qatar.
