A few radio stations were saying Rush broke up and will no longer tour or make music. All I could find was: https://consequenceofsound.net/2018...breakup-after-41-years-we-felt-it-was-enough/ I'm just happy I got to see them a good amount of times back in the late 80's!
Oh no, what will we do without their playing perfection and music proficiency!?!? Canada's economy is going to collapse without the hundreds of dollars in revenue that their tours and albums bring in!?!? We as citizens of the world are f@cked, F@CKED!!!
Lifeson has arthritis issues and Peart has tendinitis that make it very hard for them to play the long demanding sets the fans are used to. Most of it is explained in the Time Stand Still documentary, which is pretty sad actually. These guys played at levels the unsophisticated listeners such as DaveK will never be able to grasp with their primitive auditory skills that are usually limited to the mono-neural binary rythms of The Ramones
41 years as the current lineup (with Peart). The John Rutsey album (God rest his soul) doesn't count.
Great musicians who collectively created REALLY bad music. Rush was single handedly responsible for reducing the teen pregnancy rates during their career....boys that listened to Rush had a 100 percent chance of NOT getting laid in high school. There will also be fewer people thinking someone's cat is in heat late at night because there's a Rush concert playing in their town.
