How long is he planning to take to get there?

There are some great roads in SW Wischeezland for a spirited ride.

Lots of flat in MN to make up time slabbing it to SoDak.

And yes, @motion is in Red Lodge, but was smart enough to be out of town last summer when I rolled through with my kids. :D

Tell him to look me up at my rental shop when he rolls in! Rocky Mountain Motos - its on Google. We had up to 10' of snow in the past couple days so our famous Beartooth Pass is closed until next week... might be good timing for him to take the pass into Yellowstone when it opens.

The area west of Sheridan, Wyoming is nice in the mountains. I used US-14 through the Medicine Hat mtns, and it was cool. Watch out for steer on the open range (in the road).
From there you can run north from Greybull towards Red Lodge.

Ten FEET the past couple days?!?

There was scarcely a foot on the ground at the summit last year 6/6/21.

Hwy 14 is an excellent choice. Great road.

He's got plenty of time to get out there, so he's definitely interested in checking out S'W Wisconsin.

Any road west of Madison, in the Driftless Area, will provide good riding.
Just go west, then north, etc, until you get to LaCrosse.
If he likes collections, be sure to hit The House on the Rock.
It's a whole day to go through, and worth every minute.

We enjoyed Mount Rushmore... the plus is that there are a LOT of fun roads, in that area.
We did it when we went to Brainard for WSBK.

    It was 1991 ... Only 31 years ago, this month ! :p LOL! :D
We had some fun road racing at Steamboat that year, as well.

A good ride would be any of the roads west of Madison between Hwy 18 and 14, Some of the county roads are great. I would then take Hwy 14 into Spring Green and HWY 23 North to Reedsburg and pick up 33 west to LaCrosse. 33 through Wildcat Mtn State park is worth doing. From LaCrosse he can get US 14 across MN or could take WI 35 north and pick up Hwy 2 in Superior.

Not sure what he is riding but there are some pretty big stretches between gas stations in some of those parts so plan accordingly.
