Kenny Rogers dead at 81. Going to have to find a copy of the movie 6 Pack to watch in his honor. The Gambler is still one of the best songs ever. And Coward of the County give me goosebumps almost every time I hear it. I grew up to his music. My parents had many of his records, and I still love his music and voice.
Same. Dad had an 8 track of Kenny back in the day we would listen to in his car. So many songs, all of them great! RIP.
My stepdads name is Kenny Rogers so that made us automatic fans. I know every word to every song when I was a kid. They made the movie 6 pack at Dixie Speedway in Woodstock and we had a Woodstock address with a listed phone #. It got to the point where we just left the phone off the hook because we got so many phone calls. RIP - he helped make my childhood great. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
RIP. The man had a greater impact on modern music than most people realize. He was very supportive of up and coming acts. The Eagles, for one... possibly wouldn't have made it if not for Kenny Rogers.
RIP Kenny The 6 Pack was my first experience with his music. I think Love Will Turn You Around is still my favorite song of his for just that reason
