Ran into John Hopkins tonight...

In Two Roses in San Diego. His finger is looking 'ok', and he said he was ready for the season. He looked like he weighed 100 pounds soaking wet.

I think he was more surprised that someone knew who he was, than I was to see him in there.

 

Like someone could miss those fleshy cab doors!

 

Did he spill his beer?










I digress...... I actually like the guy.

 

Did you ask him why all he could say in Fastest was, ”Rubbin's racin”?

 

They were in full tuck as usual.

 

Hopper just got a mention on the Dan Patrick Radio Show... :up:

They're talking about the operation to remove the finger. They made the same joke I did a long time ago... If your name is "John Hopkins", do you feel compelled to visit "Johns Hopkins" for your medical needs?

 

He posted a pic of his severed ring finger on his twitter account. Somebody actually replied it "makes the shocker easier"

I think he is pretty much done as a racer. All he has is excuses now.

 

After losing the very hotly contested BSB by a few points, really?

 

Pay attention to much racing lately? Id say he is still as fast as he ever was.

 

This was probably one of his most consistent seasons since his 4th place in 07'

It seemed to work for 2Fer.

 

I asked him specifically about his finger, he held it up and said it was coming along fine. Few days later he chopped it off... I guess our opinions differ as to what that means.

 

What's this "anonymity?"

 

When you asked about the finger, did he tell you he was ready to win, no problem?
