R6 Fairing - Frame Mount

    Having issues with a stripped out fairing mount location on my buddies' R6. As the pic shows, there's just a hole, with no thickness to be able to cut any threads.

    Any ideas on how to make this work? Don't have easy access to a welder.

    There's a rivnut there from the factory. You could probably put one back in there, might not be able to match the thread depending on hole size in the frame

    I had read some about rivnuts, but thought they had to be welded in. Going some more google-fu, doesn't look like it has to be the case. Sweet.

    Rivnut- you can get a cheap one from harbor freight for $20
