I am talking to a friend about the Messiah and the Jews, and the subject of the law came up.

My question is this: If the Jews believe in the law of Moses, specifically that it still applies since Jesus wasn't their Messiah, what happened to the sin sacrifice? Why is it not practiced? If sin still needs to be attoned for, what now?

    Just trying to understand.

Very interesting. I'll have to ponder that for a while.

It actually speaks a bit to the forward and backward looking faith in the Messiah - a bit of a hard subject but I believe it does a LOT toward reconciling Jews and Gentiles.

I think the prophetic implications of Israel becoming a nation again and the pending rebuilding of the temple and reinstitution of the blood sacrifice need to be included in the discussion.
