QUESTION : Synthetic or Blend :

I have heard pro's and con's on the use of Synthetic oils
as to the use of a "Blended" or regular motorcyle oils.
What is your opinion : To use or not to use ??
( I have always use the Hondra Pro 4 molly blend
and have had NO problems with clutches. But I'm
in the process of changing to Royal Purple. )

I don't think anyone here could tell a difference one way or the other. I don't give a damn about all the engineers here. Either way is just fine...what can you afford the most of? I bet you could tear down(like everyone has) and see no wear with either or with Piggly Wiggly oil for that matter. I have seen it! HP gain/loss is bullshit. Go with what you feel is the best for you and what the better deal.

Ok, I kinda agree with Tony .

Any performance gain with synthetic might be offset by the cost. I change my oil after every race weekend, and I just use Yama 4.

A lot depends on you., and what you like.

Honda oils are clearly marked "genuine" on the bottle, so clearly they are better. If you use an oil that's not "genuine" then you're obviously just a fake, a poser, no better than a Harley wannabe or worse yet a Ducati lover.

Then again Royal Purple does come in a purple bottle...

i gotta go with ex ccs racer here, use wot you like, i myself use valvoline 10 - 40 regular car oil and i change it alot but at 90c a quart im not breaking the bank, i think synthetic is over rated really..........

but wot do i know about oil..........

Why, we warn all of our off-brand owning customers to watch out when they put the Honda oil in their bike.

And using Genuine Honda Spraycleaner and Polish is worth at least an additional 5 mph on top-end.
