I know there are some insurance guys here, so maybe somebody can answer a question. Got in a very minor accident maybe six weeks ago. Completely my fault. I was stopped at a light and traffic was heavy. Once we got moving, the light turned red again before everyone got through. I was looking at my phone like a dumbass, and when traffic stopped again, I didn't. I rear ended a new Tacoma just like the one I was driving at crawling speed. Put a small ding in the bumper cover of my truck and broke some clips. There was no visible damage to his truck, but I gave him my information anyway just in case there was anything we didn't notice. For some reason he put a claim in with Esurance rather than contact me directly. I refused to give them my insurance information because I didn't want the claim. I told the rep that I would pay the damages out of pocket. I eventually got a call from their subrogation company seeking payment for ~$680, which I paid over the phone. I've sent two emails to the agent that I was dealing with at Esurance asking for an invoice for the repairs, or even just the shop which performed the repairs, and have received no response. So finally my question: Are they under any legal obligation to share that info with me?
