Worst invention ever! I'm seriously thinking about ripping my car apart to put in a hand brake. First of all, it takes away all the fun in rental cars. Second of all, it's so annoying when you want to have fun in your own car in the snow or gravel and all you have is a button that locks all 4 wheels! That's all for now...
I'm with you. I want a car with a mechanical key ignition switch, a mechanical connection between the accelerator pedal and the engine (and between the shift lever and the transmission). And I have one.
Wasn’t that Star Trek actor killed because of one of these? Some sort of confusion over the brake and the gear selector and he wound up getting run over by his own car?
love my foot park brake and the manual release on my truck. what's even worse than all the pedal - / button by wire shit is the start-stop automatic that shuts the engine off. that annoys the shit out of me.
F all the tech thats been put into cars in the last 15years. F nav screens. F electronic ignitions and parking brakes. F lane departure and pre collision. F DEF fluid. F it all
Putting it in park doesn’t necessarily keep it from rolling. You have to set the brake when you park. He didn’t.
Not no but hell no... I just adapt and buy the tools I need. My current cars are light years better than the shit I drove in my teens and 20's.
