Yep, Club Phoenix. I've never seen any indication that it's open. That whole strip has turned into a bit of a ghost town. Someone finally moved into the old Yamaha dealer next door and took down those signs, Millenium Cycle.
I have a spot in advanced for tomorrow that I can't use due to health reasons. If you'd like to buy it at a discount, please let me know.
DO NOT google DJ's Private Club in Beaver Falls, PA and DO NOT get a room there....unless that's your thing.
Given Jim's bleach white legs, he must take the same endurance-level preparations 11.5 months outta the year, with regard to fire prevention. They were eye-blinding last weekend!
Before he finally started wearing shorts in the summer they weren't as blinding, sunlight can't reflect off of clear
Whats the verdict on tires. I recall people had issues with wear on the new surface a few years ago. I’m running older Michelin Evo slicks. Not the brand new compound. Are pressures different here or was that a new surface thing Thanks
Can't speak to Michelin, but Pirelli Superbike slicks like a bit more tire pressure than at most other tracks to get decent wear out of them. Hopefully there will be a vendor there for you to consult with.
...that feeling when your bike and gear is loaded in the van and you turn the ignition... ...and nothing happens. After 350000+ miles, the old E350 might be done for. Looks like nice weather today for practice - hope the weekend goes well for everyone!
Three things to remember 1 Until there's some rubber down lap times and tire wear will be higher 2 If it rains the first point rears it's ugly head again 3 As time goes on the track surface mellows and is easier on tires
I'd start by pounding on the starter and battery connections if it did nothing when you turned the key. Seriously though that sucks. Only upside is good excuse for a new van.
Starter is drawing current and connections seem solid. The guys at the shop will take a look at it early next week to see if the situation is indeed terminal. Given the mileage (and age - 17 years old), I've gotten a lot of reliable use out of it. And yeah, time to look for a fresher van. Some of the Transits are now showing up on the used market and would make for a good track hauler.
Currently in the parking lot they call I-80W.... sucks. See you guys there much later tonight ugghhh.
