    Monty,

Nice try! One minor problem, if you are refer to the Iraq thing: WE WERE ATTACKED ON 9/11 BY AL QUEDA!! Not the Iraqis.

This e-mail must have been related to going into Afganistan -- if so, I apologize:D

I just forwarded it and found it humorous. I found the analogy fairly accurate though, but no, I wouldn't kill my child.

If my kid weren't cleaning his room or kept pulling the dogs tail when he was told not to, that's one thing. If he's out killing people because he doesn't like their lifestyle, that's something else.

Sounds good so far. But what if the person (when they get back up) immediatly reports me to a cop and I get arrested for hitting him? He would surely argue that every crime has a punishment that is sought out through law. Therefore, if I hit him, he should call the police and I should answer for my crime.

Now, if Iraq hits us, we should go to the police and ask them to punish Iraq. The problem is that the "police" in this case are the UN. We asked them, and they asked us to wait. We then got ourselves a posse together and took the law into our own hands. And even having said this - Iraq actually did not hit us, we just thought they might one day.

So how does your example help exactly in our moral dilema?

p.s. - I'm still for disarming Iraq, and agree with going in without the UN. I just wish the UN were not so weak and that we were with the UN in this.

Oh yeah, I'd take his racebike away too! That's gotta be worse than death!

If Saddam raced bikes, we'd have never had these problems in the first place. He'd be too consumed with the BBS to threaten anyone.

except if someone threatens you, and has been agressive with past behavior, and the police keep saying that they'll look into it....................

yeah, thats more like it. It's like knowing someone in the neighborhoods got a gun and he wants you and your kids dead. the police can't search his house,a nd wont protect you, so they tell you to wait till he does something. And you're not just going to sit back until this guy kills one of your kids.

...we need a better "police" force out there.
