Lobsters that age don’t reproduce. They just kill other lobsters. Removing them from the ecosystem is healthier for the fisheries than leaving them to their cannibalistic predilections.

Ah-ha. I was waiting for that. Questioning it isn't an option in your childhood.

 

Not necessarily true. Lobsters (and crabs) will eat their own kind but typically when others are in a molted state. That said, lobsters exhibit cannibalistic behavior when in lobster-dense areas. Exhibit A is your local seafood store tank (when their claws are not banded). Last, I don't see why very-large lobsters would stop mating. I'm no expert. Just seems their manner of reproduction isn't an age- or sized-based issue. Is "fun sized" a thing in the crustacean world? I dunno.

 

Switching from seafood to pizza foods, I found a pizza pic with pineapple and something extra. This is a bit too much for me. I'm calling 'foul' on it.

Retirement homes have one of the highest rates of STDs. I'd say he still gets his freak on. Plus if he's that old why the hell not let him live out his life.
