Animals are the same as kids. Poor parenting/training results in asshole animals.

You both couldn't be more correct. I've worked in loads of cow, pig, chicken and fish processing plants and many are so disrespectful to life that it almost.... ALMOST I SAY..... makes one want to be vegetarian. There are a few that have restored my faith but by and large it's a horrible industry.

Peaceful animals are right up there with civilized savages. It is total rose colored glasses bullshit.

    Succumbing to peer pressure?
I actually appreciated your previous avatar. There's not enough recognition for our heroes.

I have family that run a small butcher/meat shop. They usually slaughter about 10 cows, goats and pigs each week. After watching how they operate, I have no problems eating the meat they provide. They care about each animal before it dies and respect the sacrifice that it makes to provide sustenance to our family.

The big companies, that is a whole different story.

It's the difference between Koenigsegg and Chevrolet...in-house quality vs cobbled together shit.

Thank you, Freddie :) when my dad died, i made a post on the beeb about him that night, and put up the avatar. Been a few years I guess. I no Marine, and I think people are getting the impression I am one. I must remove it, to it not be a lie. I am a raccoon guy, a far cry from a Marine :)

Yup!!!!!!!! That's all anyone asks for, to have humanity in the animal's life/death. :)
Corporate farms should be shut down. Hell on earth, literally.

No. Consumers want cheaper meat, so the methods that end up delivering what people want get used. Smaller guys who talk to and massage their cows just can’t sell it cheaply enough. Way of the world.

I think in the nearish future synthetic meat, insect based meat and vegetable imitations will be advanced enough that conventional meat farming will be a niche/luxury product. The economic pressures are just too high for anything else. Grass fed high quality steak will probably be the only real steak you can buy.
