Obviously there is no way that system could be abused.

Sounds like something a kid would ask to do when I was little. Oh and 95 degrees the horror LOL has the moron ever been outside in Alabama in the summer? Apparently we should all be dead. Bunch of @#$#@ pansies.

Tell me that after you pull a dead kid out from underneath a vehicle because they were in a lap belt instead of a car seat. Or you have to console a mother whose kid was improperly restrained, crawled out the window, and was crushed to death in the wheelwell of the vehicle as she backed out of the driveway.

We know better, we should do better.

Shit happens and at times sucks royally. But in a situation like that all I would have is sympathy for the poor person. No amount of safety device will ever achieve 100%

Oh and if I was a cynical sarcastic #$%$ I would point out that dog cages have latches so the little SOBs can't get out and run over, safer.

Yes - but we know that restraint systems save lives - just because you lived through a time that children weren't buckled up, doesn't mean its still acceptable to do so. It's anecdotal evidence. You lived, countless others did not.

Be a cynical sarcastic shit all you want - I live with one of the biggest - you have a lot of ground to cover to faze me :D

Did not restrain them...contained them to a box where they would be tossed around and crushed by the weight of themselves in the event of an accident. :)

You probably won't believe this but most kids didn't get killed back before seat belts and no smoking signs.

Far fewer cars on the roads...and far fewer distractions.
