What’s wrong with some of you people? There’s only one acceptable reaction to this news! Price point isn’t surprising at all. They’re making a full fat super sport 250. Factor in amortizing tooling and R&D for what’s doubtless a low production run and I’m surprised it’s not more expensive. I’ve been wanting to see this for years, I always figured the economics would stop it cold. I hope Kawasaki put focus into making it light and not just shoehorning a great 250cc motor into existing super sport parts. I would love to ride this, but at 6’4” my elbows might be touching my ankles. Not surprised Kawasaki is the one doing this. They seem to be the only Japanese still making radical machines. Maybe they’ll do something even crazier with this. Forced induction as an option?
That sucks if true, but not surprised. I’d really like one, but when push comes to shove would I REALLY take that over a well-prepped 675 or R6? Methinks probably not. Plus, I’d have to deal with my local dealership’s bullshit.
