I liked it a lot. Seeing Jason Bateman as a kind of bad ass was cool. Who’s your favorite character? I think mine is Ruth.
I like that Ruth was willing to do a lot for Wyatt. She's probably my favorite character overall. For comic relief and DGAF, definitely Buddy. The transformation of Laura Linney (Wendy) was pretty impressive. An odd combination of Mama Bear & Ice Queen. Clearly she learned a lot from the lady lawyer.
My wife and I just watched "Bright," it got hammered by the critics but we enjoyed it. Nothing demanding just a couple of hours of escapism.
Shetland. Classic BBC crime procedural with the backdrop of the Scottish archipelago providing a beautiful but dark and moody set to equally dark and moody storylines.
Hah! Im on season 3 of Hinterland. I don't find it quite as compelling, but still interesting (and very broody), and the language might even be tougher to decipher. I noted on a recent episode, the protagonist was named "Llew". It sounded as if it was pronounced Clew, but that's really not how they were saying it. I did some online research, and damned if I can phoneme that.
