This is (most of) my team's first endurance race...Any advice? Any special considerations? Thanks for you help!
Drink lots of water the week before the race. Spend plenty of time outside getting used to the heat and on race day drink fluids that replace electolites and eat bananas to get plenty of potasium. For the bike check every nut and bolt; frame bolts, bearings, fairing fastners; check fuel filters; clutch and throttle cables that are the special things I check over on endurance bikes more so than sprint bikes. If it is the first endurance for the bike I would also watch oil consumption some bikes like to use oil when run that hard R6s in particular. Get out and have fun is best advice though nothing compares to a team effort.
