First race of the year in May my dad went racing, had a problem with his drag bike and crashed into the wall. Broke his tibia and fibula, had a rod inserted and a few screws, and has been rehabbing all summer. The doctor told him he should wait until at least December before riding a bike. He couldn't wait any longer, so he and my mom hauled from Peoria, Il to US 131 in Michigan. He ended up going 7 rounds to win it all, with a bunch of great lights. They recorded the finals and interviewed him and my mom afterwards.
Thanks everyone, I'm proud of them. His first two rounds he cut a .002 and a .006 and then a bunch of teens and a couple twenties.
I guess when Tyler was road racing I was pit crew just like Mom. I went back in 2015 and won, then went back in 2016 and lost the first round, haha.
The woman at 2:55 mark sums it up perfect. " That old man is a badass. " Congrats to you dad. Your mom must be a understanding woman too for putting up with him.
