So I'm standing in line at JenningsGP today, waiting to pay my entry fee. There's a guy off to my right asking a few questions. He's speaking in a very peculiar dialect, like a 12 year old female hillbilly with a cigarette habit. As I'm trying to figure out where I've heard that voice before, suddenly I realize I'm standing next to none other than Scott Russell! I followed him out of the shack, introduced myself and told him I thought they did a great job this year. The races were fantastic and the announcers were top-notch. He said thanks and went on his way. He was there as an instructor for a husband and wife in the novice class. Interesting thing, he's big. He's almost 6 feet tall, and 180-190 lbs. I always pictured him as a little guy.
