No, not like Dunlop has at the track, but shop balancers....

    What are yall using?

My trusty snap-on took a dump and its time to bite the bullet and buy one.

I am looking for one that works with jap and euro wheels so I am sure there are adapter kits and whatnot.

Needs to be able to hod up to use on the daily as well.

Any suggestions? Or any that I should stay away from?

    Thanks

Did you ask the Snap-On man about repairing it or did it get run over by a truck?

Just curious....what's the benefit of a shop balancer vs one like Dunlop has at the track?

I'm not saying they'd fix it for free but they do repair those old balancers.

I have a spin balancer I use for car tires, but prefer my old bubble balancer for mc wheels.

Manual static ballancers are the best every time

Time.....a "shop balancer" is faster, and time is money.

    I use a static balancer.

Man I don't know, if you know what you're doing a static balancer is quite fast. Plus they are ~$100 so much easier to see a return on your investment.

    Guys, no. Just no.

I specifically didn't ask what you're using in your house garages.

Not only that but a lot of bikes use single sided swing arm and I'm not gonna explain to a guy who bought a 20k bike why I'm using a $100 tire changer that can be buikt from harbor freight.

Again, actuall shop owners or mechanics please.

The Parnes balancer is a very high quality product - don't know what bearings he uses, but they are very low sticktion bearings. He has cones for SSSA wheels.

Well I worked in a shop for 4 years and changed 100's of tires, many with single sided swingarms. We used the Parts Unlimited balancer which has the adapters for all the different wheels.

exactually. The electric ballancers are only good for saving a little bit of time, static is best
