i still think that honda put "catch me" gyro stabilizers in his bike.

i wanted to sell the idea to Gigi but he said i had too much Chianti.

 

Remember when Garry McCoy would make jaws drop with his rear-end slides? That was cute.

 

Yeah, but did that for show, and on demand. Not sure about the desire to do those by MM93 on purpose. McCoy's were, WOW. MM93's are " Holy Shit!"

 

I was thinking more of the skill level required to get away with them.

 

Not sure MM93's are a skill you can practice without failing much more often than succeeding.

The energy here is incredible. Almost as crazy as Jerez was.

 

At what point though do his saves stop being cute and awe inspiring and start being dangerous?

His save today looking very reminiscent of the beginnings of the fateful Simoncelli crash. Maybe he has the mental capability to realize where he's at on the track and realize he's coming back around to the inside, maybe not. What he's doing IMHO could have a horrible outcome if he ever hooks back around to the inside of the corner. Hope I'm wrong.

 

Cal must be helping REMOVE the cover, his leathers aren’t covered in scuffs and gravel dust.....yet.

 

He couldn't even wait til race day to eff that thing up. Selfish bastage.

 

I feel a bit the same, that is, for anyone else it would be a leading indicator of something worse to come.

 

And you can also slip in the shower or get hit by a bus and die. Doesn't mean he is doing it on purpose. He is at the top of his game, pushing the limits and sometimes shit happens.
