Rossi is looking to test this week in order to gauge his fitness for the Aragon GP.

It would suck for Van Der Mark if after all of this MotoGP foreplay, he doesn't even get to ride the bike.

Seems odd, since Rossi is already 42 points behind with only 125 available.

Honestly I think Jorge just has to get his mind right and he'll be right up front in the podium fight

 

I'm split on this.

While it would be great to see him back so soon, with only 5 rounds to go the 3 riders at the top would ALL have to make a lot of mistakes or have some severe change in fortune for him to have a chance.

Contemplating a 10th championship was fun while it lasted, but that ship has sailed for 2017.

I'm therefore in full Dovi mode now, and think he will bring home another victory this weekend.

How long did he wait in 2010? He raced 47 days after...and maybe he now knows how to streamline the recovery.

 

Less drastic break but 7 years older. Not sure 20ish days is enough.

 

VR may be out of any realistic chance for a 10th title in '17, but he still has legacy & statistic opportunities (# of podiums, wins, races entered, etc.). You know he wants to catch and surpass Ago for record # of race wins. Can't do that sitting on the couch.

And even coming in 2nd, 3rd, 4th in the championship probably still means something to him.

I don't worry too much about VDM. It was a gifted opportunity anyway, easy come easy go.
